Kata Noodles

Igredients (i use)

1 egg

1 small size carrot chopped into smaller cubes

1 small size garlic glove peeled

1/2 inch of fresh ginger peeled

1 packet of Kata noodles or regular noodles

2 -3tblspn of frozen peas

1/2 tspn of salt

1 tspn of Kata spice mix or a pinch each of powdered white pepper, black pepper, coriander, cloves and paprika

 

Method

I start first by washing the egg and then boiling it in a suacepan with enough water for cooking the noodles also. Then i add in the carrots, garlic and ginger. When its boiled for about 5 minutes or when the carrots begins to soften, i add the packect of noodles, frozen peas salt and spices. Stir to break up the noodles and help to spread the spices while also making sure the egg is boiling evenly on the sides. Allow to boil for another 5 minutes or till the noodles are tender. Take out the egg and immediately run under cold water or into a bowl of cold water, this helps to take off the shell really easy. Strain the noodles and take out the garlic and ginger, leaving just about small amount of the stock back. Serve warm with the peeled egg. Suitable for all the family.
